Burkholder, 79, of Garrett RD 1, died March 31, 1994 in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Sept. 21, 1914 in Garrett, a son of the late John J. and Belva (Weddle) Burkholder. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Minnie A. Hostetler and these sisters and brothers: Peggy Burkholder, Ella Jean Walters and Clyde Burkholder. Survived by his daughter, Mrs. Kathy Donaldson, Meyersdale and grandchildren: Brooke and Jason. A brother of Belva Christner, Garrett; Jeannette Romesberg, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and Libert J. Burkholder, Garrett RD 1. Veteran of U. S. Army WWII. A retired coal miner and member of United Mine Workers of America, Dist. No. 2, Local 1875. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Charles Lady officiating.
