  BURKHOLDER
  
  Richard C. Burkholder, 70, of Friedens RD 1, died May 10, 1988, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born March 16, 1918, in Garrett, son of
  the late Milton Christian and Sadie Elizabeth (Snyder) Burkholder. 
  Also preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Brantner, and a brother,
  Homer.  Survived by wife, the former Mildred S. Brant; and these
  children: Myrna J. of Somerset; and Barry J. of Richmond, Va.  A
  brother of Mrs. Bruce I. (Rosemond) Fleagal of Somerset; and Harry M.
  of Albuquerque, N.M.  Member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
  Veteran of U.S. Army, World War II.  Retired diesel mechanic for Frank
  E. Cober and Sons with whom he worked for 23 years.  Friends received
  7-9 p.m. Wednesday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.  Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday
  at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roger L.
  Forry officiating.  Interment, Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Body will lie
  in state at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
