He was born at Hyndman RD 1, and was the son of the late Charles Edward Burley and Rose May (Lowery) Burley. He was a retired machinist at Kelly-Springfield Tire Company and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow, Dorthea M. (Clites) Burley; one son, Garry J. Burley, of Golden Beach, Md.; two brothers, Lewis Burley, of Baltimore, Maryland and John Burley, of Hyndman RD 1; two sisters, Mrs. May Meders of Bedford Road, Cumberland; and Mrs. Myrtle Kane of LaVale, Maryland. Friends were received at the Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence where services were conducted by the Rev. Leroy Logsdon. Interment was in Porter Cemetery, near Hyndman.
