Burley, 76, Somerset RD 1, died April 15, 1988, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 14, 1911, in Hyndman. He is survived by wife, Ruby (Harah) Burley; son, Robert H. of Killingworth, Conn.; daughter, Mrs. Carl (Judith) Puffenberger, Somerset RD 2; brothers: Ray Leydig, Jeannette; and Samuel Leydig, New Paris RD 1; three sisters: Mrs. Steve (Marie) Eckmeyer, Manns Choice; Mrs. Robert (Eileen) Keller, New Paris RD 1; and Mrs. Vernon (Rosalie) Krause, Buffalo Mills. Also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. The death terminates a marriage union of 55 years. He is preceded in death by parents and three brothers. He was retired from the B&O Railroad and former owner of the Gulf Service Station at Somerset RD 2. Member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Rockwood. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m., with his Pastor, the Rev. Rex Wasser officiating. Interment, I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rockwood. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to Christ United Methodist Church, Rockwood.
