Born Jan. 14, 1907, in Henry Clay Township, a son of the late Harry and Ada (Butler) Burnworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ireta Cuppett Burnworth; a brother, Fred Burnworth, and a grandson, Matthew Burnworth. Survived by three children: Scott and family, Erie; Winona Palmer and family, Warren, Ohio, and Allan and family, Confluence. Retired schoolteacher of Marclay Elementary School and Turkeyfoot Valley High School. Member of the Kingwood Grange, Confluence IOOF, Sons of the American Revolution and the retired teachers' association. Also a member of the Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church, where memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, with the Rev. David Lee officiating.
