Burnworth, 86, of Confluence, went to be with the Lord Aug. 23, 1999, at the home of her granddaughter, Sandra Fritz of Hookstown. She was born June 26, 1913, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, a daughter of the late William and Lola (Brougher) Colborn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Fred Burnworth, an infant son and sisters, Miriam Rodahaver and Louise Byrd. She is survived by daughters Myrna Bender and her husband, Robert, and Dorothy Harter and her husband, Paul, all of Confluence; grandchildren, Susan Cramer and her husband, James, of Stoystown, Sandra Fritz and her husband, Ernest Jr., of Hookstown, and Michael Harter and his friend, Elaine and her son, Bradley, of Rushville, N.Y.; and a great-grandson, Arin Fritz. She was a retired employee of Somerset State Hospital and a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church, Ursina American Legion Auxiliary, Great Crossings Chapter D.A.R. and the Confluence Rebekah Lodge. Friends will be received from 2-9 p.m. today at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Timothy Rogers officiating.
