  John P. Burton, 81, Johnstown, went to be with his Lord on June 29, 2006, at
  Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg. Born Aug. 1, 1924, in Baltimore, Md., son of
  Clarence and Dellafine (Holiday) Burton. Preceded in death by parents; brother
  Clarence; and sisters Madeline and Dorothy. Survived by wife of 63 years, the
  former Kathryn Struck; sons George, married to the former Georgine Balsavage,
  Boswell RD, and John, and wife, Margaret, New Hampshire; daughter Bonnie,
  married to Tom Edmonson, Jennerstown; seven grand-children; and six
  great-grand-children. Founded Burton Moving & Storage in 1970 and Burton
  Furniture in 1978, which he operated until his retirement. Enjoyed feeding the
  pigeons, talking to people and having coffee at McDonald's. Following
  cremation, a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at
  Memorial Baptist Church, 210 Vine St., Johnstown, the Rev. Dr. David A. Hill
  officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of
  flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501
  St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1942. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home
  & Cremation Services, Davidsville.
