  BUTLER
  
    Clyde R. Butler, 70, of Somerset (Jefferson Township) went to be
  with the Lord May 20, 1999 at his residence.  Born May 22, 1938 in
  Somerset, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Suter)
  Butler.  Also preceded in death by son, Donald, and brother, C. L.
  Butler.  Survived by his wife, the former Ruth Emert and these
  children:  Clyde R. Butler Jr. and girlfriend, Debbie Snyder; Rick
  Butler; Mrs. Donald (Linda) Fritz; Terry Butler, married to the
  former Patty Martin, all of Somerset and Mrs. Rick (Debie) Hoover of
  Garrett.  Twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Also a
  sister, Vesta Rhodes of Homestead, Fla.; and a number of cousins. 
  Member of St. John's Methodist Church, Edie.  Former PennDOT
  supervisor, retiring in 1986 after 21 years of service.  Would have
  celebrated his 71st birthday today.  He and his wife celebrated their
  48th wedding anniversary on April 17.  Friends received from 2-4 and
  7-9 Saturday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.  Services will
  be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the St. John's Methodist Church, Edie,
  where the family will receive friends one hour before the service,
  Rev. Barry K. Ritenour officiating.  Interment, Edie Cemetery.

  Fund in care of Donald Fritz, 132 Sleepyhollow Rd., Somerset, Pa.
