He was the son of McClelan and Eliza (Folk) Butler. Surviving besides his parents are his widow, Mrs. Nora (Miller) Butler; three sons, Homer, Harold, John; two daughters, Thelma and Wilda Butler; all at home. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Charles Walls, Keysers Ridge; Mrs. Charles Gartner and Miss Elizabeth Butler, of Salisbury, Pa.; three brothers, Jonas Butler, Harnedsville, Pa.; Howard Butler, Keysers Ridge, and Wilson Butler, Jennings; and one grandson. Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, of which Mr. Butler was an active member. Rev. Foster Bittinger, Westernport, officiated at the services assisted by Rev. J. C. Beam, pastor. Meyersdale Republican, August 20, 1942
