Butler, 78, of Somerset, formerly of Latrobe, died Tuesday, March 22, 1994 in Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown. Born Feb. 12, 1916 in Kittanning. A son of the late W. Roy and Maude (Kepple) Butler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Belle Forsha Butler and a brother, William L. Butler. He is survived by a brother, Robert I. Butler of Ligonier and two sisters: Mrs. John (Corinne) Bollinger of RD 4 Greensburg and Mrs. Robert D. (Annetta) Williams of Latrobe, and a number of nieces and nephews. Prior to his retirement, he held an administrative position at the Pennsylvania State Hospital in Somerset. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latrobe. He was a 50-year member of the IOOF Lodge 541 in Latrobe where he served as chaplain; was a past Noble Grand and a past trustee. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Patients Rights Committee. Friends will be received at the Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the pastors of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township. Members of the IOOF Lodge 541 of Latrobe will hold services Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
