Born Feb. 1, 1917 in Grantsville, a son of the late John Amos and Savilla (Bittinger) Butler. Also preceded in death by infant son, Teddy Wayne; brother, Mark G. Butler and sisters: Olive Vought, Beulah Tressler, Lottie Mathis, Viola Hutzel, Ida Reckner, Melda Butler and Pearl Snow. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Sara Ruth (Tissue) Butler; two sons, John Michael Butler, Dillsburg and Daniel Timothy Butler and wife, Edie, Grantsville; one daughter, Donna Virginia Kohlase and husband, Lee, Mesa, Ariz; one brother, Alton Butler, Meyersdale; two sisters, Evelyn Bartholovish, Carmichael and Elma Durst, Meyersdale; two grandsons, Daniel Timothy Butler, Charlottesville, Va.; and David Michael Butler, Raleigh, N.C.; one granddaughter, Lori Anne Bloomer and husband, Cale, Mesa, Ariz., and two great-granddaughters, Cassandra and Kendra Bloomer. Member of Bear Creek Church of the Brethren, Accident, Md. Retired farmer and U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Member of the Woodman of the World Camp 41, Grantsville. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md., where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev.
