SARAH E. BUTLER

  Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Butler, aged 79, died April 5, 1944, at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. William Simmonds, Keyser's Ridge, Md.
  She married John C. Walls on March 6, [****], who died July 22, 1891.  
Surviving this union are John Walls and Charles Walls, both of Grantsville.  On 
March 27, 1894, she married Kennedy Butler who died August 14, 1912.  The 
surviving children of this union are: Mrs. William Simmonds, Keyser's Ridge; 
Arthur Butler, Accident; Mrs. Fred Dickinson, Chester, Pa.; and Mrs. Lee Durst, 
Trent, Pa.  She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Alice Tipton, Somerset, and 
one stepson, William Butler, Meyersdale.  Also surviving are 47 grandchildren 
and 42 great grandchildren.
  She was a member of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren at which place the 
funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.  Rev. Foster Bittinger, 
Westernport, Md., officiated.
