  WILLIAM F. BUTLER
  
    William F. Butler, 95, Berlin, died Jan. 18, 1979 in Berlin.
    He was born Sept. 4, 1883 in Garrett, a son of the late Canada and
  Lydia (Ringer) Butler.  He was preceded in death by his wife the
  former Lucinda M. Ringer and two sons.
    He is survived by these children:  Paul E., Meyersdale RD 1; Mrs.
  Joseph (Etta) Ferner, Berlin; Mrs. Roy (Violet) Saylor, Meyersdale
  and Mrs. Hamilton (Mabel) Pyle, Somerset RD 1, 19 grandchildren, 42
  great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
    He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Berlin and a
  retired farmer.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services were held with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
