  Sheila R. Byer, 44, of 918 Verla Drive, Windber, died March 6, 2002
  at Windber Regional Hospice.  Born June 6, 1957 in Windber.  Daughter
  of Ellsworth and Rosella (Ruby) Black.  Preceded in death by father. 
  Survived by mother, Windber, husband, Donald J., daughter LeAnn and
  son, Jason, both at home.  Sister of Ellsworth Jr., Windber; Harold,
  married to the former Carolyn Ward, Key West, Fla.; Milton, married
  to the former Wilma Holsopple, Hooversville; Robert, married to the
  former Rosalie Boehrns, Pasadena, Calif.; Kenneth, married to the
  former Rosa McMichael, Maryland; Dixie Jezeskie, Windber; Rev. Larry,
  married to the former Nila Dzurko, Berlin; Karen Beard, Minnesota;
  Cheryl Black, Windber; Shirley, wife of John Kozar, Windber, and
  Gary, married to the former Karen Sturtz, Windber.  Also survived by
  58 nieces and nephews.  Sheila was the Windber Area High School girls
  volleyball coach for 11 years (1987-1998).  She was also a volleyball
  referee.  She enjoyed coaching and teaching the game.  Member of Holy
  Child Jesus Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral mass will be
  celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Rev. Matthew Misurda.  The family will
  receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Sunday at Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where vigil for the
  deceased will be held.  Committal, Richland Cemetery.  The family
  suggests memorial donations to Windber Regional Hospice in memory of
  Sheila.
