  C. ELIZABETH BYERS
  
    C. Elizabeth Byers, 80, of Meyersdale, died Feb. 20, 1979, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    She was born Nov. 5, 1898, in Sand Patch, a daughter of the late
  John and Jennie (Reynolds) Habel.  She was preceded in death by her
  husband, Harry.
    She is survived by these children:  Willard of Monroeville; Blaine
  and John, both of Las Cruces, N.M.; Una, wife of James Lichty, and
  Doris, wife of Robert Clapper, both of Meyersdale; Mrs. Louise
  Phillippi, and Fern, wife of Robert Kinter, both of Rockwood; 16
  grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of Mrs.
  Rebecca Hodgson of Willoughby, Ohio.
    She was a member of Amity United Church of Christ; American War
  Mothers; the Meyersdale Garden Club; the Golden Age Club; and the
  Summit Homemakers.
    Friends were received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale,
  where services were held with the Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating. 
  Interment, Reformed Cemetery.
