Byrne, 85, of Greensburg died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995 in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born July 29, 1910, in Meyersdale. Daughter of the late Elam and Tracey (Martz) Poorbaugh. Director of the Jeannette Community Nursing Association for 33 years and a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ in Greensburg. 1933 graduate of Frick Hospital School of Nursing and a member of the Greensburg Business and Professional Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Byrne, and several brothers and sisters. Survived by a niece, Mrs. Lonnie (Tracey) Ream (whom she reared) of Rockwood and their children: Becky, Lonnie II, David and Kate. Also survived by a sister, Mrs. Virginia Brisbane Sekora of Greensburg RD 3; sister-in-law, Louise Byrne of Pittsburgh; and additional nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Coshey-Nicholson Funeral Home Inc., 319 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Pa., on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Edwin J. Fromm officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Scottdale, Pa.
