Death of Dr. Beachley
  Dr. Urias M Beachley, the oldest resident physician of Meyersdale, died Wednesday.
 He was the 
oldest resident of the town who had resided there continuously since his birth in
1828.  He practiced 
medicine for more than half a century. He is survived by his wife and six children: 
Mrs. C.G. Masters, 
Everett, Pa; Mrs. H.M. Berkley, Somerset, Mrs. C.S.Walker, Cleveland, O., E. Milton
Beachley and 
Misses Grace and Lydia Beachley, of Meyersdale.  One son--Dr. William K.
Beachley--died shortly 
after receiving his medical diploma.  Dr. Beachley was a son of the late Daniel
Beachley, one of the 
pioneer settlers of Meyersdale, and was a consistent member of the Progressive
Brethren Church, 
and one of the founders of that organization.  He was a Republican up until the
formation of the 
Prohibition party, since when he had been an untiring worker for that cause.  The
funeral took place 
Saturday afternoon.
