SILAS J. CABLE

  Silas J. Cable, 80, a native of Somerset County, died on Friday, Nov. 14, in 
Long Beach, Calif., where he retired about ten years ago, after having spent 
much of his life in Waterloo, Iowa.  His wife, Anna (Koontz) Cable, died in 
March of this year.
  He is survived by a son, Ray Cable, and two grandchildren, all of Long Beach, 
Calif.; a sister, Mrs. J. S. Zimmerman, La Verne, Calif., and a brother, James 
M. Cable, a well known citizen of Berlin.  Funeral services were held Monday, at 
Long Beach.
