    David J. Calhoun, 68, Morgan, Vt., formerly of Confluence, died Aug. 16, 2008. Born
  Oct. 19, 1939, in Dover, N.J., the son of George Calhoun and Belle Coley. He was a
  veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a laborer in the coal mining industry and enjoyed
  hunting, fishing and reading. He is survived by his companion, Gloria Taylor, Morgan,
  Vt..; five children, Cliston Duke, Raleigh, N.C.; Victoria Skantar, Somerset; Tracie
  Savage, Gibbon Glade; Jane Calhoun, Summerfield, Fla.; and Jacob Calhoun, Somerset; five
  grandchildren, Matthew and Zachary Bevans, Jordan, Megan and Evan Duke, Raleigh, N.C.;
  and siblings, Kate Lewis, Derby Line, Vt.; Robert Calhoun, East Charleston, Vt.; James
  Calhoun, Athens, N.C.; George Calhoun, Ursina; as well as several nieces and nephews.
