Cameron, 78, of Confluence, died Sunday April 7, 1985, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born June 21, 1906, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, son of the late Charles and Minnie (Snyder) Cameron. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Hazel (Rose) Cameron and four children: Robert, Confluence; Eugene, Kingwood; Shirley Bittner, and Beverly Hutzel, both of Somerset; 19 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Elizabeth Holden, Akron, Ohio; and Iretha Younkin, Somerset; and three brothers: Lee, Ohiopyle; Glenn, and Lawrence, both of Confluence. He was preceded in death by a daughter, LaVerne Sanner, and a son, Melvin Jr. Member of the Ursina Church of God and Local 1058 AFL/CIO of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
