"Scoop," Camille, 94, Windber, died Sept. 28, 2001 at home. Born Oct. 28, 1906 in Windber, son of Patsy and Minnie Camille. Preceded in death by parents, and sister Mary Bestvina and her husband Michael. Member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Jim was an outstanding high school athlete in many sports. He went on to play professional baseball. He was inducted into the Somerset Old Timers baseball Hall of Fame in 1998. He was a basketball and football official and later became the first groundskeeper at Windber Memorial Stadium and remained in that position for over 30 years. He was also a member of Windber Moose Lodge & Union Social Hall, and Travelers Protective Association, both of Johnstown. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held Monday afternoon.
