Born Jan. 22, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late John and Catherine Campagna. Preceded in death by his stepmother, Louisa Campagna; son, John; brothers, Joseph and Frank; and sister, Marjorie Vincent. Survived by his wife of 20 years, the Rev. Dr. Ruth (Landefeld) Campagna; daughter, Francis Giammarino and husband, Billy, Davie, Fla.; granddaughter, Dana Giammarino; sister, Ann Nolan and husband, Larry, Beaumont, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Ida Campagna, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Bernice Campagna-Morales, Arlington, Texas; and goddaughter, Cathy DelPrete and husband, Anthony, Brooklyn, N.Y., and their family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Iwo Jima Island-hopping campaign in World War II. Retired employee of the Goodyear Tire Co. in New Brunswick, N.J., and then taught in a jewelry-making school in Manhattan. He was a past assistant director of CAUSE, an outreach ministry of the United Methodist Church in Jersey City, N.J. Locally, he was a volunteer at Meals on Wheels in Somerset. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1754 in Huntingdon and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Somerset. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Calvary United Methodist Church. The Rev. Raymond Lyon officiating. Interment at Somerset County Memorial Park with full military rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Calvary United Methodist Church, 239 W.
