  Bessie I. Campbell, 83, of Confluence died Feb. 9, 1997, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Dec. 9, 1913, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township.  A daughter of the
  late James and Hazel (Anderson) Younkin.  Preceded in death by husband, Harry;
  two daughters Sharon Smith and Alice Morgan, and five sisters. Surviving are a
  son, Richard Smith of Latrobe, and two daughters: Betty Reckner and Harriet
  Holliday, both of Confluence. Also two stepdaughters, Sara Jane Rishel of
  Markleysburg and Beverly Frazee of Friendsville, Md.; 18 grandchildren, 20
  great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and three sisters: Mabel
  Plume and Jessie Yeager, both of Confluence, and Vesta Kirsgavis of Latrobe.
  She was the last living charter member of the Confluence Church of the
  Nazarene.  Friends will be received from 2 until 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10
  a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence.
  Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Confluence Church of the
  Nazarene, Rev. Thomas Charles officiating.  Interment, Jersey Cemetery.
