Campbell, 88, of Buffalo Mills RD l, died Monday, May 21, 1990, at his residence. Born August 7, 1901 in Addison Township, Somerset County, he was a son of the late Robert and Alice (Guard) Campbell. He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and four great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer and formerly worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Gravel Pit United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School superintendent for eight years. He is survived by his widow, Stella (Deneen) Campbell; five sons, Robert E, Campbell and Donald F. Campbell, both of Buffalo Mills; Glenn R. Campbell, Clyde E. Campbell and Earl W. Campbell, all of Hyndman; six daughters, Mrs. Mabel M. Burkett, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Stuby, Mrs. Mildred E. Miller and Mrs. Dorothy E. Turner, all of Hyndman; Mrs. Ethel R. Lafferty, Buffalo Mills, and Mrs. Rosalee F. Stahlman, Ellerslie, MD; three sisters, Mrs. Loretta Emerick and Mrs. Pansy Stair, both of Hyndman RD 1; and Mrs. Alice Lowery, Ellerslie, MD; 43 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be conducted Thursday, 11 a.m., by the Rev. Joseph R. Stains and the Rev. Dennis A. Fetter. Interment in Hyndman Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The Republic, May 24, 1990 [C0060]
