CHARLES CANONICO

  Charles Canonico died at 5 p.m., Monday, in the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, 
where he had been admitted earlier in the day.  Death was attributed to an 
infection of the liver.
  Mr. Canonico came to America from Italy in 1874, and moved to Meyersdale 
shortly afterward.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Farino Canonico and these children: Mrs. Carolyn 
Ditrey, Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Mary Creel, Bogolusia, La., Carl, Redbank, N.J., 
James, Soughengton, Conn., and John, at home; one sister, Mary O'Dapri, of New 
Kensington, and a brother, August Canonico of California.
  Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 this (Thursday) morning in SS. Philip 
& James Catholic Church, with Rev. Thomas J. Houghton officiating.  Burial was 
made in the church cemetery, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus.
