  Mrs. Alpha M. Carey, 88, Meyersdale RD 1, died Sept. 6, 1986, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born March 25, 1898, in Larimer Township, daughter of
  late Francis and Mary Ann (Shoemaker) Gomer.  Preceded in death by husband,
  Leo, in 1954; and brother, Irvin.  Survived by these children: Leo, Cleveland,
  Ohio; Beatrice, wife of Robert Fritz, and Florence, wife of Herman Hewitt,
  both of Akron, Ohio; and Donald R., Meyersdale; four grandchildren and four
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs. Clara Lowery, Meyersdale.  Member of Amity
  United Church of Christ.  Friends are being received at Leckemby Funeral Home,
  where service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Carl P. Mitchell.
  Interment, White Oak Cemetery.
