  Leon Francis (Irish) Carey Sr., 66, of West Union Street, Somerset, died Dec.
  31, 1974 in Berlin.  Born April 25, 1908 in Somerset County, a son of the late
  John and Rebecca Darrah Carey.  Also preceded in death by two brothers, a
  sister and a daughter Mary Ann.  Survived by his wife, the former Mary
  Elizabeth Tayman; a son, Leon F. Jr. of Somerset RD 1; and three
  grandchildren.  He was a brother of Mrs. Joseph (Elanor) Brennan of
  Willingboro, N. J.; Miss Margerite, Mrs. Helen Schrock, Mrs. Herbert (Betty)
  Gnagey and Joseph, all of Somerset.  Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
  Friends received after 7 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Richard E. Hauger
  Funeral Home.  Requiem Mass 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church,
  with the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli officiating. 
  Interment, Husband Cemetery.  Rosary wake service, 8 p.m. Friday in the 
  funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be
  made to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
