  Mary Alberta (Rodgers) Carey, 79, Hooversville, died Oct. 8, 1981, at Cambria
  County Nursing Care Center.  Born Jan. 2, 1902, in Hooversville, daughter of
  Nathanial and Minnie (Rummell) Rodger.  Preceded in death by husband, William
  F. Carey Sr.; brother, Harry; and sister, Mrs. Markel.  Survived by these
  children: Ellen Louise, wife of George DeNorcy, Hooversville; William F. Jr.,
  at home; Doris, wife of Eugene Jones, Virginia; Mary Kay, widow of Mike
  Kadilac, Hollsopple RD 2; and Margaret "Peggy," widow of Garfield "Buddy"
  Clark, Windber; also 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Sister of
  Maurice Rodger, Hooversville; Mrs. Gladys Funk, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Mildred
  Dumbauld, Somerset; and Kenneth Rodgers, Johnstown.  Member of Holy Family
  Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Society, Hooversville firemen's auxiliary of
  which she was past secretary; Democratic Election Board and Senior Citizens.
  Was a committeewomen.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Saturday
  and Sunday at Thomas P. Read Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian burial at 10
  a.m. Monday, at Holy Family Catholic Church Hooversville, the Rev. Stanley
  Zubricki.  Burial, St. Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.  Rosary at 2 p.m. Sunday.
