Born Jan. 2, 1902, in Hooversville, daughter of Nathanial and Minnie (Rummell) Rodger. Preceded in death by husband, William F. Carey Sr.; brother, Harry; and sister, Mrs. Markel. Survived by these children: Ellen Louise, wife of George DeNorcy, Hooversville; William F. Jr., at home; Doris, wife of Eugene Jones, Virginia; Mary Kay, widow of Mike Kadilac, Hollsopple RD 2; and Margaret "Peggy," widow of Garfield "Buddy" Clark, Windber; also 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sister of Maurice Rodger, Hooversville; Mrs. Gladys Funk, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Mildred Dumbauld, Somerset; and Kenneth Rodgers, Johnstown. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Society, Hooversville firemen's auxiliary of which she was past secretary; Democratic Election Board and Senior Citizens. Was a committeewomen. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Saturday and Sunday at Thomas P. Read Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Monday, at Holy Family Catholic Church Hooversville, the Rev.
