Born Sept. 17, 1901, in Rockwood, the daughter of the late John and Rebecca (Darrah) Carey. Preceded in death by brothers: John, Edgar and Leon; and one sister, Magdalen; also one niece and one nephew. Survived by sisters: Helen Schrock and Betty Gnagy, and brother, Joseph D., all of Somerset; and a sister, Eleanor Brennan of Willingboro, N.J. Also survived by 10 nieces and 11 nephews. She was employed by Welsh News Stand for many years, and later worked in the Dietary Department of the Somerset State Hospital. She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and Somerset American Legion Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, (today), at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where Wake service will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Church with the Rev. Monsignor Samuel J.
