Carlsen, 77, Confluence, died Jan 14, 1989, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born May 9, 1911, in Hoboken, N.J., a son of the late Carl A. and Karen (Johnson) Carlsen. Surviving are: his wife, Marion (Harvie) Carlsen; two daughters: Louis Blaesing, Birmingham Mich.; and Eunice Carlsen of Central Islip, N.Y.; a son, David N. of Madison, Wis.; granddaughter, Bethany Joy; 4 sisters, Anne Larsen, of New City, N.Y.; Lillian Cartier, of Oradell, N.J.; Evelyn Buoncristiano, of Asbury Park, N.J.; Florence Donovan, of Bergenfield, N.J.; and a brother, Henry of Cliffside Park, N.J. Preceded in death by brother and sister. He was the former pastor of the Turkeyfoot Valley Baptist Church, Confluence, and most recently has been in the American Baptists' Minister-At-Large program for the past ten years. He has served churches in Colorado, Montana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, New York, Iowa, New Hampshire and Vermont. He retired in November 1988. Friends will be received 2-9 p.m. Monday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., the Rev. John Wilson and the Rev. David Carlsen officiating.
