  ROBERT CARLSON
  
  Robert O. Carlson, 62, of Rockwood RD 1, died July 30, 1977, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  He was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Wells Creek, a son of the
  late Oscar and Anna (Scurfield) Carlson.
  He is survived by his wife, Irma (Sanner) Carlson, of Rockwood RD 1; one son,
  Barry, of Rockwood; two daughters: Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Dwire of Barton Md.,
  and Mrs. Harvey (Eleanor) Brant of Somerset RD 8; three brothers: Edward of
  Manns Choice; Gibson of Boswell RD 1; and Bernard of Boswell RD 2; two
  sisters: Mrs. Dorothea Wilson Detwiler of Central Hall and Mrs. Bernice Salla
  of Johnstown; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Jr., in 1969, and a daughter,
  Marjorie Carol, 1939; also by three sisters and one brother.
  He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, a veteran of World War
  II, and a member of the Donegal American Legion.
  Funeral services were held Tuesday at the William J. Wood Funeral Home with
  Rev. Don Judy officiating.  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
