  Thurman H. Carnell, 68, Central City RD 1, died Jan. 19, 1985, at home.  Born
  June 14, 1916, in Amaranth, son of late Howard H. and Mary B. (Deneen)
  Carnell.  Preceded in death by two grandchildren and sister, Mary B. Fisher.
  Survived by widow, former Delma J. Ward; and these sons: Thurman E., Laurel,
  Md.; Charles H., Poughkiepsie, N.Y.; Robert E. and John M., both of Jessup,
  Md.; and James C., Central City; also nine grandchildren. Brother of Lucille,
  Washington; Betty, wife of Markle Rose, Gambrills, Md.; and Shirley Clift,
  Akron, Ohio. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Tuesday at Charles E. Brumbaugh Funeral Home, Central City.  Body will lie in
  state from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Berkey
  Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Earl Crissman.  Interment, Berkey Cemetery.
