Glenn Carns, 72, Somerset, died Jan. 10, 1998 at Somerset Hospital, Somerset. Born Feb. 8, 1925 in Greensburg. Preceded in death by parents, Homer Clyde and Eva Edna (Gross) Carns; grandson, Bradley Vinosky; and sister, Jean Smith. Survived by wife, the former Sylvia Irene Walker, to whom he was married for 52 years; children, Barrie L. Carns, Somerset, and Mrs. Perry T. (Susan "Susie") Caldwell, Lavansville; 3 grandchildren, Raymond Wright, Lavansville, Mrs. Martin (Tammy) Vinosky, Stoystown and Raymond W. Carns, Boswell; and 1 great-grandson, Nathan J. Vinosky. Brother of Helen Blystone, Rockwood, and Grace Lape, Listie. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Former employee of Somerset Foundry. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Walter L. Frankenberry officiating.
