  MELVIN E. CAROLUS
  
  Melvin E. Carolus, 58, Fredericktown, Washington County, formerly of Somerset
  County, died March 3, 1979 at the home of his sister, Mrs. Helen McCardle in
  Fredericktown.
  Born March 15, 1920 in Rockwood, he was a son of John and Ruth (Mitchell)
  Carolus.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
  He is survived by Roger, Port Clinton, Ohio; Glen, Sandusky, Ohio; Betty
  Mulville, Oxnaid, Cal.; Pamela Harvey and James, both of Des Moines, Iowa;
  Robert and Sherry Slaughter, Queen City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; three
  sisters: Margaret Neighly, Latrobe; Violet Lawrence, Coal Center RD 1 and
  Helen McCardle, Fredericktown.
  Friends were received in the Hoffman Building, 138 E. Main St., Somerset,
  where services were conducted with the Rev. Biller officiating.  Interment,
  Sanner Cemetery.
