NICHOLAS R. CAROUSE

  Funeral services for Nicholas R. Carouse, 59, Meyersdale, who died Monday, 
March 1, in Hazel McGilvery Hospital, were held Thursday at 10 a.m. in SS. 
Philip and James' Catholic Church with the Rev. Howard T. Miller officiating.  
Burial in the church cemetery.  Mr. Carouse had been ill with heart trouble for 
some time.  He was born in Italy and came to America 40 years ago.  He was 
connected with the Quality Coal Company and was superintendent of the mine at 
Pine Hill.
  His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Carouse, survives him with two sons and a daughter, 
Guido, Meyersdale, Marico of the U.S. Army in Mississippi and Miss Rita at home.
