Carr, 79, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1987, at Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Md. Born Jan. 26, 1908, at Sully, W.Va., he was the son of the late Albert L. and Ella M. (Sommerfield) Carr. He retired with 29 years of service as a conductor with the B&O Railroad. He was a member of the United Transportation Union Local 430 and the Panther Creek Church of Sully. Surviving are his widow, Emma E. (Losh) Carr; three sons, Richard A. Carr, Laurel, Md.; Harry W. Carr, Ellerslie, Md.; and Thomas L. Carr, Corriganville, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Y. Karen Lease, Ellerslie, Md. and Mrs. Anita M. Cessna, Wellersburg; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by Pastor Floyd P. Rinehart. Interment, Masontown Cemetery, Masontown, W.Va. The Republic, October 1, 1987 [C0151]
