(Brant) 03/26/08 Daily American Mildred P. (Brant) Carroll, 96, Jenner Township, died March 23, 2008, At her home. Born March 25, 1911, in Ralphton, the daughter of John Wilson and Edna (Paulus) Brant. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William J. "Ducky" Carroll on July 30, 1977; infant son, Mark; sisters, Susan Manners and Loretta "Dolly" Kelly; brothers, Glenn, Warren and Truman Brant; and an infant sister. Survived by daughters, Kathryn, widow of Terry Resh, Jenner Township; Della, widow of William Lichtenfels, Pittsburgh; and Georgia, married to Vaughn Lichtenfels, Stow, Ohio; sons, William J. "Bill" Carroll Jr. and James "Butch" E. Carroll, both at home; and Leroy L., married to the former Bonnie Horner, Jennerstown; 12 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Employed by the former Dorfman and Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell for 15 years. Life member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, Gray. Enjoyed baking and crocheting and spending time with her family. She is the last surviving member of the Brant family and will be sadly missed by all, especially her granddaughter Cindy who helped care for her. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ. The Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer, officiating. Interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown.
