  CARROLL
  
  William J. (Duckey), Carroll, 78, Boswell RD 2, died July 30, 1977, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 3, 1898, in Loyalhanna, Westmoreland
  County, son of John and Margaret (Stiffey) Carroll.  Preceded in death by
  parents and infant son, Mark, five brothers and three sisters.  Survived by
  wife, the former Mildred T. Brant, and these children: Della C., wife of
  William Lichtenfels, Johnstown; Kathryn J., wife of Terry Resh,
  Jennerstown; William J., Jr., and James E., both at home; Georgia Z., wife
  of Vaughn Lichtenfels, Fairmont, W.Va.; and LeRoy L; married to the former
  Bonnie Horner, Jennerstown, and eleven grandchildren.  The couple celebrated
  their 45th wedding anniversary May 12, 1977.  Was a member of Mount Laurel
  United Church of Christ.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 10
  a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny
  St., Boswell, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
  Richard Schellenberger and the Rev. Jesse E. Wolf.  Interment, Laurel Hill
  Cemetery, Laughlintown.
