Born Feb. 24, 1965, in Conover, N.C., daughter of Franklin D. and Martha (Jones) Sigmon of Conover, N.C. Preceded in death by an infant brother, James Timothy Sigmon. Survived by her husband of 14 years, Pastor Richard Carter; a son, Joshua, and a daughter, Elizabeth. Also survived by a brother, Mark Sigmon, Hickory, N.C. She was a registered nurse, having worked at Catawba Memorial Hospital and Chambersburg Hospital. She was a graduate of Catawba Valley Community College, Hickory, N.C. Member of Good Shepherd Cooperative Lutheran Ministry, Shanksville. Family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 12 noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville, Bishop Gregory R. Pile and Rev. Susan M. Winger officiating. Interment, St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, N.C. Instead of flowers, contributions may be given to the Amy E.
