She was born March 3, 1894 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Ellen (Heckler) Hartline. She was preceded in death by husband, Leonard M. Survived by these children: Mary Carter of Somerset; Betty, wife of Paul Coleman of Champaign, Ill.; Robert of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a brother, Robert Hartline of Mount Plesant RD 1. She was a past president of the Somerset Democratic Club; served as a vice-chairman of the Democratic Committee for Somerset County; Registrar of Vital Statistics in Somerset for four years; and for a number of years following, held the job of Inheritance Tax Clerk for Somerset County. The family received friends at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services were conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Father Robert Mitchell officiating.
