  EDITH MAE CARUTHERS
  
  Edith Mae Caruthers, 72, Grantsville, Md., died Feb. 28, 1988, at
  Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Md.
  Born at Accident, Md., on May 10, 1915, she was a daughter of the late
  Jacob and Leah (Opel) Beitzel.
  She was a member of the Maranatha Assembly of God Church.
  Surviving are three sons: Donald P. Caruthers, Springs; David K.  Caruthers,
  Oakland, Md.; and Jack M. Caruthers, Grantsville, Md.; two daughters: Mrs.
  Sharon Lohr, Swanton, Md.; and Mrs. Catherine Williams, Friendsville, Md.;
  three brothers: Paul Beitzel, Detroit, Michigan; and Herbert Beitzel, North
  Canton, Ohio; Carroll Beitzel, Colorado Springs, Col.; four sisters: Mrs.
  Evelyn Shaffer and Marion Fread, both of Canton, Ohio; Mrs. Iva Hostetler,
  Hartville, Ohio; Mildred Cline, Versailles, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and one
  great-granddaughter.
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md.
  Services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the church by the Rev. Edgar
  Hare officiating.  Interment, Glade Cemetery.
