Carver, 74, Berlin RD 3, died Feb. 16 in Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born August 16, 1899, in Brothersvalley Township, a son of Jacob P. and Lizzie Walker Carver. He was preceded in death by twin sisters in infancy and a grandson, Richard Flick, on Dec. 25, 1973. Surviving are his wife, the former Jessie I. Miller: a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy E.), Flick, Berlin RD 3; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a brother of Clarence G. Carver, Berlin RD 3, and Russell O. Carver, Sunbury. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Roxbury; the IOOF of Berlin, the FOE of Somerset and the Berlin Lions Club. A well known farmer of Brothersvalley Township, Mr. Carver worked for 33 years with the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service and served 35 years as a forest fire warden. Services were conducted Feb. 19 in Johnson and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. Herald V. Seese officiating. Interment in the Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, February 21, 1974 [C0165]
