    Emma E. Carver, 93, Berlin, died Dec. 9, 2007, at Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate. Born
  April 17, 1914, in Berlin, a daughter of Harry and Mary (Brick) Miller. Preceded in death
  by parents; husband, Frank Carver; brothers, John and Harvey Miller; and sisters, Laura
  Brinkley, Lula Chappell and Mamie Fritz. Survived by her son, Ray, married to the former
  Lori Gumbert, Berlin; grandchildren, Kristi, Durham, N.C. and Emily, Berlin; a sister,
  Virginia Garratt, Sykesville, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a 1932
  graduate of the former Berlin High School and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,
  Berlin. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner
  Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ralph G.
  Landis officiating. Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given
  to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 507 Main St., Berlin, PA 15530.
