Casteel, 66, of RD 3, Rawlings, who died Tuesday of injuries sustained in a highway accident Sunday near McCoole, Md., were conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Dawson United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis E. Jackman officiating. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park. Rotruck Funeral Home, Keyser, W. Va., was in charge of arrangements. She was born in Accident, Md., July 29, 1919, a daughter of the late Frank Calls and Harriet (Bowman) Callis. She was a graduate of Frostburg State College and taught at the Oakland Elementary School and at Solomons Elementary School in Calvert County. She also did home tutoring in Allegany County. She was a member of the Dawson United Methodist Church, the Golden Star Sunday school class of the church, and the Dawson Senior Citizens. Surviving are her husband, Donald F. Casteel; four sons Donald F. Casteel and David Lynn Casteel, both of RD 3 Rawlings; James E. Casteel, Seffner, Fla.; William Casteel, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Benjamin E. Callis, Accident, Md.; Mason W. Callis, Mountain Lake Park; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Brant, McHenry; Mrs. Hannah Green, Swanton; Mrs. Emma Weimer, Grantsville; Mrs. Mary Headridge, Hanover, Anne Arundel county; and seven grandchildren.
