Born Oct. 10, 1933, in Berlin, a son of Harry and Edna (Burkett) Caton. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Kathleen Ferguson, Florence Sarver, and Marion Caton. Survived by his wife, D. Jean Caton of Carnegie; children Debbie (Peter) Berdi, Beth (James) Malarkey, and James (Patricia) Caton, all of Pittsburgh. Also survived by brothers William, Merle, Harry, Owen, Paul and Robert; sisters Ann Obaker, Virginia Mostoller and Ona Gerhardt; grandchildren Hanna and Erika Malarkey and Cameron Eles and James Caton. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired cable splicer for Western Union. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.
