  Daniel E. Cauffiel, 75, of Berlin, formerly of Boswell RD 1 died May 16,
  1997, in Meadow View Nursing Center.  Born May 30, 1921, in Jenner Township.
  Son of John E. Sr. and Rachael E. (Rhoads) Cauffiel.  Preceded in death by
  parents and infant brother John E. Jr. Survived by sister, Frances, widow
  of John Burek; niece Sandra L., wife of Dennis J. Barron, and beloved
  great-niece Lindsay R. Barron, all of Mountain View Road, Somerset RD.  Also
  survived by loving friend Dorothy Berkey, Hollsopple RD, and good friends
  Irene and Ellis Johnson, Boswell RD.  Member of the Benscreek Evangelical
  Lutheran Church near Thomas Mills and the USWA.  Retired electrician for the
  former Johnstown plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp.  Friends will be received from
  7-9 p.m. Saturday and until time of service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman
  Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell.  The Rev. Raymond A. Sistek and the Rev.
  Donald Speigle officiating. Interment, Jenner Township Baptist Cemetery.
  Memorials to the Benscreek Lutheran Church, 4459 Somerset Pike, Hollsopple,
  or Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 601 S. Center Ave., Somerset, would be
