He was born May 3, 1908, in San Valentino, Italy, to Joseph and Concetta (Gigante) Cesarone. He married Antoinette Marchio Dec. 31, 1937 in the "Little Church Around the Corner," New York City. He came to Somerset in 1939 to manage one of the first service stations on the newly opened Pennsylvania Turnpike. He later opened his own business for Exxon, then worked for and retired from Wheeler Brothers, Somerset. He was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church. He helped form the Roof Garden Athletic Association. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Carl and Frederick. Survived by: his wife; son, William J. Cesarone, Jr.; daughter, Rosemary Cesarone Tanner, all of St. Lake City, Utah; sisters: Esther Todoross and Mary Leon, both of Brownsville; Angeline Pocci and Edith Feodi, and brother, Daniel, all of Pittsburgh. Memorial services will take place in Somerset at a date to be announced later.
