CHAMBERS Mrs. Harriette Staub Chambers, 57, died last Saturday at the residence of her cousin, Mrs. Joseph Levy, Somerset, to which place she was removed about four months ago from her home in Norfolk, Va. She had been ill for about nine months. Mrs. Chambers was born in Meyersdale, November 9, 1889, a daughter of Henry C. Staub and Mrs. Ida Baer Staub, both deceased. She graduated from Meyersdale High School and from the Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia. She is survived by her husband, James A. Chambers of Norfolk, Va., one daughter, Mrs. Worth Cropp, Oakland, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Eliza Kennell, Cumberland, Md. Three aunts also survive - Misses Maggie and Lillian Baer and Mrs. William B. Groff of Meyersdale. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the residence of her aunts, the Misses Baer, by Rev. H. K. Hilner, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. Interment was made in Union Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus. Pallbearers were Mike Hady, Warren Warner, Fred Grof Jr., Raymond Lint, Lee Austin and Fred Groff Sr. Meyersdale Republican, October 23, 1947
