Born March 15, 1917, in Gallup, a daughter of the late Mont, and Mary (Fannin) Frazier. Her husband, Clarence E. Chapman, died in 1974. Member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving, are four daughters: Mary Ellen Hill of Somerset, Donna Jean Wellman of Cleveland, Ohio; Isabelle Johns of Louisa and Emily Senters of South Shore; two sons: Clarence E. Chapman Jr. of Somerset, Ky., and John Mont Chapman of Louisa; three sisters: Norma Webber of Port Smiley, Mich.; Opal Jordan of Fallsburg and Rose Vaughan of Louisville; a brother, Mont Frazier of Crossville, Tenn; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was Wednesday at Young Funeral Home in Louisa, Ky., with the Rev. Bill Teems officiating. Burial was in Smith Cemetery in Chapman. Daily American, March 13, 1997 [C0292]
