    Betty Jane Charlton, 82, Friedens, died Feb. 20, 2008, at her  residence. Born Dec. 23,
  1926, in Lincoln Township, she is  the daughter of the late  Clarence Edison and Mary Ann
  (Hoke) Sarver. Also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane;  a son;  Stanley Vincent;
  grandson, Matthew;  two infant grandchildren;  and brothers, Dwight and Kenneth. Survived
  by husband,  Vincent Charlton; children, Mrs. Van Monroe  (Carol Jean) Tressler;  Mrs.
  John (Patricia Ann) Will; Sandra Lynn Lepley;  Mrs. James (Nancy Lee) Phillippi; Daniel
  Bernard Charlton and  wife, Karen; and Randy Devon Charlton and wife, Barbara, all of
  Friedens; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and nine great- great-grandchildren.
  Sister of Jean Charlton, Friedens; Rheda Sarver, Hooversville; Marjorie Stahl; and
  Phyllis Flamn, both of Berlin;  and caregivers, Les Stitz, Melinda and Cindy. Member of
  Boswell  Church of God. Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset,  where a service will be held at 2 p.m.
  Sunday with the Rev. M.D. Herring and the Rev. Scott Zediker officiating. Interment in
  Beulah Cemetery. Contributions may be made to MEDI Home Hospice, 308 Haynes St.,
